Maximum power point tracker using an intelligent sliding mode controller of a photovoltaic system

<span lang="EN-US">The operating performance of a PV module/array is extremely reliant on the weather (temperature/irradiation) and non-linear. Thus, to ensure that array produces maximum possible power at any time regardless external conditions, point tracking (MPPT) techniques are required. The solution suggested in this paper involves taking into account two cascaded controllers as follows; incremental conductance (INC) controller, which intended provide reference proportional array's optimal P<sub>MPP</sub>, sliding mode control (SMC), charge controlling GPV voltage. strategy SMC design surface defines point. combined with INC aims achieve fast MPPT action systems using cascade control. proposed controller robust changing conditions. In order evaluate what done, results compared INC+PI controller. When an abrupt change occurs, has low transient arrives equilibrium sooner than presented by PSIM software, demonstrate controller's while confirming new approach increased both production energy efficiency.</span>
